Overview
Under the supervision of Medical Director, Provider or Nurse Manager, the LPN utilizes the nursing process to assist in the provision of ambulatory health care services that reflect the ambulatory health care providers philosophy and standard of ambulatory health and nursing care of assigned patients.
ResponsibilitiesImplements and provides appropriate clinical support in conjunction with the planned activities of the ambulatory setting in order to provide adequate support for the medical providers.
Administers and documents medications and intravenous solutions according to established policies. Clinical care is implemented per ambulatory health care standards, policies, and procedures.
Provides excellent customer service for patients/families/representatives and other members of the treatment team.
Ensures quality and safe delivery of ambulatory health care services.
Assesses and monitors patients to identify problem, then documents and communicates this information to provider.
Participates in performance improvement projects.
Participates as an active care team member in the coordination of patient care.
Fulfills additional performance and responsibilities as assigned and as necessary.
QualificationsExperience Requirements:
1 year-LPN in ambulatory setting
Education:
College Diploma Nursing required
Certification/Licensure:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required at time of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire
Travel: up to 10%
