Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct and indirect nursing care for cardiac and peripheral procedural patients in the Holding room and Chest Pain Unit. The role includes post-sheath removal monitoring, groin complication recognition, EKG interpretation, abnormal lab value reporting to physicians, input of ACC data, and supervising assigned nursing personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect total nursing care for cardiac/peripheral procedural patients.
  • Monitor patients post sheath removal and recognize and report complications.
  • Interpret EKG and abnormal laboratory values, and report findings to the physician.
  • Record ACC data and ensure compliance with department and hospital policies.
  • Supervise assigned personnel and manage shift operations.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in cardiac or chest pain unit nursing.
  • Bachelor’s, Associate, Diploma, or Master’s Degree in Nursing.
