Registered Nurse, PCU Nights Fulltime, Baptist

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services.

Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care; education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care; serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.

Certification: ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs; PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED.

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition.
• Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement.
• Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care.
• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital.
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services.
• Act as the patient advocate.
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities.

• Associate of Science in Nursing (AS).
• Preferred Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS).

• 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred.
• 1-2 years Telemetry Experience.
• Hospital Experience.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required.
