Shift:Day-Weekend (United States of America)
Location:2600 Westhall Ln, Maitland, Florida, 32751
Job Description:Travels to various client locations to provide treatment for high‑risk communicable disease exposures, including patient counseling, blood draws, and medication administration. Performs additional client services such as reasonable suspicion screening and post‑accident screening to obtain blood/alcohol and urine drug screen specimens. Maintains professionalism while working in high‑risk environments, including emergency situations, incarcerated facilities, and non‑clinical settings. Functions independently within a complex work environment, managing unique situations using regulatory and client‑specific protocols.
Follows and adheres to Federal and State statutes, Advent Health policies, and procedures to reduce corporate risk and ensure patient safety. Coordinates critical next steps with exposed patients, source persons, clients, charge nurses, labs, medical directors, and supervisors. Documents all patient and client interactions in electronic medical records (EMR) and completes DOT and chain of custody forms with accuracy. Attends required training and audit sessions.
Responds promptly to patient destinations within established timeframe when on‑call. Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work independently and properly manage time. [Required]

- Knowledge of statutes pertaining to HIV testing. [Preferred]
- Strong venipuncture skills. [Required]
- Ability to maintain clinical hygiene and specimen integrity in varying nontraditional settings. [Required]
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Physical Requirements -
Pay Range:$31.53 - $52.24
Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
