We are pleased to announce the following available position:
FT ADON (Assistant Director of Nursing) $10,000 Bonus
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) develops department goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies and procedures, and organizes the department in accordance with administrative guidelines. The ADON functions in an advisory capacity to Administration in evaluating proposed procedural changes as they relate to patient care.
This position directs the implementation and ensures compliance with the Standard of Nursing Practice that promotes optimum health care delivery.
The ADON is responsible for the coordination of the interdisciplinary care delivered to patients on patient care units. The ADON monitors overall functioning of the unit and initiates problem solving activities when necessary. The ADON is charged with keeping unit activity organized and may intervene when necessary to discuss concerns, problems, or suggestions with other team members. In collaboration with House Supervisors and nursing staff, the ADON ensures that best practice standards are adhered to at all times and serves as the DON designee.
QualificationsEducation:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN or BS preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of recent psychiatric experience. Recent management/administrative experience preferred.
Age‑Specific
Competencies:
Child, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric.
Licensure/Certification:
Current FL RN license or license from a compact state required; CPR certification required;
Handle with Care certification required.
