Job Summary And Qualifications

The Manager ER is responsible for assisting the Director with the management of the day-to-day operation of the ER and is responsible for the supervision of assigned personnel. The Manager also creates a common vision to facilitate continuous quality improvement in the delivery of patient care in support of the organization’s mission and vision. The Manager assumes the role as leader in planning, organizing, coaching, and facilitating his/her department functions in collaboration with the Director and staff to assure quality service is provided.

Responsible for helping the Director meet JCAHO standards, complying with the organization’s policies and procedures, for promoting teamwork with physicians and all healthcare providers, for promoting internal and external customer satisfaction and for appropriate resource management.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Registered Nurse, currently licensed as a professional nurse in the state of practice and/or active compact license, in accordance with laws and regulation required
  • Current American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS, ETLA and AHA ACLS
  • BSN required
  • 3+ years of RN experience in an acute care emergency setting required; 5+ years of leadership experience preferred
