Registered Nurse, MSICU Nights, Baptist Jacksonville

Baptist Jacksonville is looking for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for Fulltime Nights.

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care.

Responsibilities include:

Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case, assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case. This position requires call.

Performance Standards

Note:

Utilize Performance Standards labeled "ORRN" for the ORs and utilize "RN" Performance Standards for the ICU RNs

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
• Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
• Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
• Act as the patient advocate
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities

Associate of Science in Nursing Or

Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)

• 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred
• 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
• Hospital Experience

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
• Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required

BS - Nursing

• Emergency Department Experience
• ACLS & PALS
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
• Registered Nurse (RN) - State Nursing Boards
