POSITIONSUMMARY
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall management and coordination of clinical care in the facility. They are accountable for maintaining high standards of patient care, managing the nursing staff, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Leadership and Supervision:
- Provide strong leadership and direction to the clinical staff including Nursing staff,, and techs. Assign and delegate responsibilities to ensure efficient and effective patient care. Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development. Resolve clinical problems that may arise on a day-to-day basis within the center. Assist the Nurse Administrator by creating, editing, and implementing policies and procedures for the center.
Ensures a safe and secure environment for the staff. Management and approval of clinical staff timecards.
- Provide strong leadership and direction to the clinical staff including Nursing staff,, and techs. Assign and delegate responsibilities to ensure efficient and effective patient care. Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development. Resolve clinical problems that may arise on a day-to-day basis within the center. Assist the Nurse Administrator by creating, editing, and implementing policies and procedures for the center.
- Patient Care Management:
- Oversee patient assessment, care planning, and delivery of nursing care.
- Ensure compliance with the established nursing standards, protocols, and policies.
- Monitor patient outcomes and quality of care, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- All duties of an Endoscopy RN.
- Staff Development:
- Evaluate clinical employee performance and counseling as needed.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop and implement staff training and continuing education programs.
- Setup and assist in educational activities such as risk management
- Assist clinical staff in completing goals put forth by the Nurse Administrator.
- Encourage and support staff in pursuing professional development opportunities.
- Resource Management:
- Manage staffing levels, including scheduling, recruitment, and retention efforts.
- Cost awareness and concern for conservation of resources.
- Awareness of the facility’s budget and ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Manage use and restocking of supplies to ensure adequate availability.
- Ensure all procedure rooms are being utilized to maximum efficiency.
- Quality Improvement:
- Ensure that each patient receives comprehensive, quality care. Implement and oversee quality improvement initiatives in the facility. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action plan for adverse events. Promote adherence to patient safety standards and infection control measures. Participate in Quality Committee activities.
- Interdisciplinary
Collaboration:- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and other support staff to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and policy development.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and policies.
- Prepare for and participate in surveys and audits as necessary.
- Requires access to Personal Health Information (PHI); HIPAA training is required, and HIPAA compliance is expected.
- Must follow the organization’s Code of Conduct.
- Must participate in the Compliance Program Initiatives and reporting and Compliance Issues.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESActively monitor and improve patient satisfaction scores, ensuring that patients’ experiences are positive.
Infection Control and Prevention:
Oversee the implementation of infection prevention programs and minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
Advocate for the rights and needs of patients within the facility and ensure patients receive appropriate care, respect, and dignity.
Integration of new technologies, such as electronic health records, into the facility and ensuring staff is trained to use them effectively.
Ensure the facility is well prepared for emergencies, disasters, or mass casualty situations.
