Baptist Downtown is hiring a Clinical Resource Nurse, Operating Room Educator for our Main OR Team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM position with no call or weekends required, but must be flexible to the needs of the department.
As a Clinical Resource Nurse, Operating Room Educator, you will organize department education for 130+ people on a weekly basis and follow orientees through the orientation process. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing direct, constructive feedback, communicates openly, and is not afraid to speak up when needed. They possess excellent organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills, work independently, and take initiative in planning and prioritizing responsibilities.
This individual views themselves as a leader, promotes accountability, and helps the team consistently follow established best practices while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Assess, plans, coordinate, and assist with daily patient care activities for identified patient population.
- Ensure adherence to established clinical policies, protocols, regulations, and standards.
- The Clinical Resource Nurse will serve as a clinical resource for their assigned units, collaborate with nursing leaders, medical staff, and nursing staff and provide clinical support to improve patient care and patient outcomes in the Operating Room.
- The advanced knowledge and skills required for this role include broad clinical expertise in evidence-based practice, mentoring, consultation, collaboration, education, and leadership.
- 7+ years Direct Operating Room Nursing Experience Required
- Education Experience Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
- Master of Science, Nursing Required
