Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Emergency Department team at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time night shift opportunity.
The Pediatric ED provides specialized emergency care for infants, children, and adolescents. This role is ideal for nurses passionate about pediatric care in a fast-paced, family-centered environment.
Registered NurseJob Responsibilities
- Provide emergency care to pediatric patients
- Administer medications per policy
- Educate families on diagnosis and treatment plans
- Collaborate with pediatric specialists and care teams
- Coordinate care with ancillary services
- Serve as a patient and family advocate
- 3–5 years Clinical Experience (required)
- 1 year Emergency Nursing Experience (required)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
- Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (required)
- TNCC, NRP, ENPC (required)

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services
- Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
- Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
- Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
- Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.
