Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Part-Time | Flexible Schedule
Comprehensive Psych Services LLC is seeking a compassionate and experienced Part-Time 1099 Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our outpatient psychiatric practice in Jacksonville.
This is a flexible opportunity for a PMHNP who enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults and wants to make a meaningful impact through individualized, evidence-based psychiatric care. Our patients range from approximately 8–75 years old and present with ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, OCD, PTSD, autism spectrum conditions, trauma, and other behavioral health needs.
Position Highlights- Part-time: 1–2 full days per week; may be broken into 4-6 hour times slots.
- Flexible scheduling:
Monday–Saturday with afternoon/extended hours available - No on-call or required weekends
- Hybrid/office-based opportunity in Jacksonville, FL
- 1099 independent contractor
- Competitive compensation based on experience and patient volume
- Typically, 12, 16, or 20 patients per day
- Provision of required collaborating physician/psychiatrist supervision for nurse practitioner documentation

- In-house psychological testing and psychotherapy

- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Evaluate developmental, medical, and psychiatric history, including parent/caregiver interviews and collateral information when appropriate
- Diagnose and treat conditions including ADHD, anxiety, depression/mood disorders, OCD, PTSD, and autism-related behavioral health needs
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with Florida regulations and best practices
- Provide patient and family education and participate in family meetings as appropriate
- Provision of information for parents for schools, IEP/504 teams, primary care providers, and other members of the treatment team

- Provide compassionate, developmentally inform grant care tailored to each patient
- Master's or Doctoral degree (MSN, DNP, or equivalent) from an accredited PMHNP program
- Active, unrestricted PMHNP-BC certification (ANCC)
- Active, unrestricted Florida RN and APRN/NP licensure
- Active DEA registration with Schedule II authority, or willingness to obtain prior to starting
- Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
- 2+ years of psychiatric experience preferred, but stellar, quick-learning recent and licensed PMHNP graduates also will be considered.
- Experience working with developmental and behavioral health populations
- Experience with Cognitive and Behavioral techniques needed.
- CAP-PMHNP certification or specialized child/adolescent psychiatric training valued
- Experience with online developmental screening tools and parent rating scales
- Experience treating military/Veteran patients and their families
- Spanish fluency is a plus
- Warm, personable approach and strong ability to build relationships with patients and families
This is a 1099 contractor position with compensation based on a percentage of reimbursement per service, commensurate with experience and patient volume. Compensation is competitive for the Jacksonville/NE Florida market.
