Site Safety Technician
Peak Technical Staffing has a need for a Site Safety Representative for a commercial construction project in the Jacksonville area. Seeking local, minimum OSHA 30 candidates, with large scale commercial construction experience and ability to monitor, observe, report for extremely busy, sizeable project. LOCAL candidates will get first consideration. Local is preferred MUST BE tech savvy with safety and operations experience utilizing Hammer Tech or similar platform.
This project will last approximately three months with a move to the next project around September / October for a total of one year or more. 40 - 50 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Some overtime is possible so flexibility is required.
Qualifications:
The candidate must have a minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in commercial construction safety experience. Current certification in CPR/First Aid/AED and OSHA 30-hour construction safety standards required. The Hammer Tech experience will be a huge plus and put you up front for an interview.

Works hand in hand with site management team focusing on maintaining a safe workplace and establishing policies and procedures for other workers.
- Conducts safety meeting, audits, and implement follow up assessments.
- Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
- Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations.
- Provides project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirm project site fulfills industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plane and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management.
- Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
- Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.
- Provides technical support to project manager team.
- Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.
