Job Description

Join a dynamic team at our distribution center in Jacksonville, FL where we receive third-party manufactured parts, conduct quality inspections, and ship them to manufacturing facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity and conformance of products to design requirements, reducing cost, risk, and complexity for OEMs, MROs, and airlines.

Responsibilities
  • Verify routine product conformance to design requirements.
  • Provide objective evidence of results and perform auditing, surveillance, and monitoring.
  • Identify and document discrepancies and segregate and control non-conforming items.
  • Perform preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance under limited supervision.
  • Inspect incoming parts/material and outgoing orders, ensuring certification accuracy.
  • Check parts for processing and special orders using micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc.
  • Mentor the inspection team and conduct dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels.
  • Conduct visual inspections for obvious defects and review all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards.
  • Communicate with vendors as needed and manage disposition and control of non-conforming products.
  • Obtain and maintain Customer Designated Supplier Quality Representative Stamps for at least three customers, actively using stamps as required.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in the aerospace or aviation industry.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, or engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and pin gauges.
  • Familiarity with quality manuals, certificates of conformance, FAA traceability, and 8130 documentation.
  • Experience in QA inspection methods and procedures, including First Article Inspection.
  • Fluency in English for reading, writing, and verbal communication.
  • Proficient PC skills and use of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook and Excel.
MUST HAVE
  • 1. Aerospace or Aviation Industry Experience
  • 2. Experience interpreting blueprints, schematics or engineering drawings
  • 3. Precision measuring instruments: calipers, pin gauges
  • 4. Quality manuals such as certificates of conformance, FAA traceability, 8130

Skills & Qualifications
  • 1+ years of related work experience using calipers, ring/pin gauges, comparator, and Smart scope.
  • Ability to interpret quality manuals and airworthiness documentation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $34.00/hr.
