Quality Technician
Responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the overall quality of products ordered, received, manufactured, stored, packaged, and sold. This role will perform all tasks as defined in specific inspection plans in a timely and efficient manner to ensure all products sourced and delivered are built to type design data.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform inspection duties utilizing engineering drawings, purchase orders, inspection travelers, work instructions, technical specifications, QA procedures and instructions, and other related documents.
- Conduct sampling inspections in accordance with approved plans and procedures.
- Perform conformity/first article inspections to ensure compliance with FAA approved procedures.
- Perform preliminary and progressive inspections of components and systems as needed, verify functional operation, and final inspections.
- Ensure the proper use and storage of inspection tools, measuring and test equipment.
- Conduct tests, inspections, based on specifications for design as required.
- Perform uninterrupted flow of acceptable materials to support manufacturing and customer on-time delivery.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure inclusion of quality requirements as needed.
- Provide activity and status reports to management.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School degree or GED.
- Eye exam required.
- One year quality inspection experience or two years aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Basic math and computer skills for data entry and report generation.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection instructions.
- Ability to use standard measuring tools and inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and documentation practices.
- Prior experience in a Quality Control role, preferably in aviation, aerospace, or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and standards, including Part 145 Repair Station procedures.
- Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAI) and Conformity Inspections.
- Working knowledge of quality standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar.
- Experience using an ERP or Quality Management System (Quantum Control or equivalent).
- Basic understanding of continuous improvement practices.

They thrive in a structured, compliance-driven setting and demonstrate excellent organizational skills, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all inspections.
They take pride in maintaining high standards, preventing quality escapes, and supporting on-time production and delivery. While prior quality inspection experience in the aviation or aerospace industry is preferred, the ideal candidate is eager to learn, receptive to feedback, and motivated to grow within the organization. Strong communication skills, a collaborative attitude, and a commitment to continuous improvement complete the profile of a successful team member in this role.
