Quality Test Technician

We are currently hiring Electrical Quality Test Technicians for a manufacturing facility in Jacksonville, FL. This role is focused on the inspection, testing, and validation of electrical cabinets, power distribution equipment, and industrial power systems. Candidates will perform electrical testing using a variety of diagnostic tools and meters while ensuring products meet quality, safety, and performance standards. This position involves testing and verifying low-, medium-, and high-voltage systems, documenting results, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring completed units function according to engineering specifications.

Overview:

  • Location:

    Jacksonville, FL (Northside near Alta Drive)
  • Shift Options:
    • 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday-Friday)
    • 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Monday-Friday)
  • Pay: $20-$23/hr (based on experience)
  • Manufacturing environment (non-climate controlled)
  • Perform electrical quality inspections and functional testing of power distribution equipment and electrical assemblies.
  • Utilize electrical testing equipment including multimeters, insulation resistance testers (megohm meters), continuity testers, and other diagnostic instruments.
  • Validate system functionality across low-, medium-, and high-voltage applications while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to verify proper assembly and operation.
  • Identify, document, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical defects discovered during testing.
  • Record test results, inspection findings, and non-conformance reports accurately.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues and support corrective actions.
  • Assist with repair, rework, and retesting of units to ensure compliance with customer and company specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in electrical testing, quality control, electrical assembly, or manufacturing required.
  • Experience using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, continuity testers, meggers, or similar tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with low-, medium-, and high-voltage systems preferred.
  • Basic computer skills including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and accurate documentation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
