Position: QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (AIRCRAFT) with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will oversee program-related training, qualifications, certifications, and conduct practical examinations.
* You will identify and utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to analyze trends, identify systemic issues, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the assigned programs.
* You will confront complex problems, develop and implement corrective actions, make sound decisions, and effectively negotiate with higher-level personnel.
* You will plan, conduct, and document audits for both internal and external assessments. Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties:
* Utilizing NAVAIR instructions, Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) policies to develop and maintain local instructions or command procedures required by higher level instruction or necessary to ensure program effectiveness;
2) Defining and monitoring program performance metrics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities and taking action to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of programs;
3) Preparing and executing an annual audit plan, document all findings and completion in the designation record system, and assess all non-conformities to determine risk and corrective and preventative actions;
4) Developing and evaluating proposed initiatives and process improvements for inclusion in planning processes; and
5) Collecting internally and externally generating data for analysis in order to determine the adequacy of quality and reliability operations to detect weaknesses and to predict major causes of failure. Education:

Major study -- quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. or Experience Specialized

Experience:

Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge in monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services in quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production, or related areas. Examples include:
* Reviewing production activities and capabilities in light of contract quality requirements.
* Reviewing written quality or inspection procedures for adequacy, and evaluating the implementation and effectiveness of quality/inspection systems, including sampling plans.
* Analyzing quality data to detect unsatisfactory trends or weaknesses in the quality/inspection system.
* Verifying by test or inspection, using sampling inspection or intensive product inspection techniques, that products comply with requirements prior to acceptance.
