Overnight Quality Inspector​/Sanitation Food Manufacturing Experience REQUIRED

Job Description:

Review Quality Assurance and Sanitation functions for pre-and post-operations, inspect cleaning/sanitation of equipment, verify line set-up, performing environmental swab and sample collecting, verify ingredient usage through recipe check offs, and proper documentation. Assisting Dayshift QA in set-up, inspection, and changeover when shift ends.

• 1. Conduct sanitation inspections for pre-and post-operations according to the departmental Quality System.
• 2. Perform environmental swabbing and sampling collection.
• 3. Keep all necessary standards and specification documents complete and organized.
• 4. Notify sanitation supervisor of any discrepancies during the inspection process.
• 5. Monitor and enforce company policies (food safety, GMP’s, etc.) procedures and regulations as indicated in the departmental Quality System.
• 6. Monitor and record all verification procedures.
• 7. Perform other duties as assigned by quality supervisor.
• 8. Prevent non-conformances by tagging and notifying relevant personnel.
• 9. Perform, and document monthly facility inspections. Communicate all findings to the Quality Supervisor.
• 10. Verify ingredient usages at morning start-up via recipe check offs.
• 11. Maintain records and files for third-party, federal, and state inspections.

Education and/or

Experience:

High school graduate. Good math skills required. Experience in fast paced work environment. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Work/Skill Requirements:
Willing to train. Food/beverage industry experience a plus. Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical skills. Ability to read, write, and keep records. Good computer skills including literacy with Excel and Word. cGMP and/or HACCP training or experience in the food processing industry a plus. Must be self-motivated, and disciplined throughout.
