MISTRAS Group is seeking a full-time NDT Eddy Current (ET) II Technician based in Jacksonville, FL.
MISTRAS Group is seeking a full-time NDT Eddy Current (ET) II Technician based in Jacksonville, FL. The technician will conduct non-destructive testing on metal tubing across heat exchangers, boilers, condensers, and chillers using eddy current testing techniques to detect internal defects and prevent equipment failure.
Responsibilities:- Set up, calibrate, and operate Eddy Current Testing (ET) and related NDT equipment.
- Execute non-destructive inspections on metal tubing according to applicable standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Analyze, evaluate, document, and present test results and numerical inspection data clearly.
- Direct, train, and guide NDT trainees and Level I inspection personnel.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of code requirements and limitations associated with certified NDT methods.
- Adhere strictly to company safety protocols, client site requirements, and quality assurance standards.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Graduation from a specialized NDT technical program aligned with SNT-TC1A standards.
- Prior certification as an NDE Level II with at least 1 year of experience, or Level I status with documented field hours required to achieve Level II under SNT-TC1A.
- Strong written/verbal communication and technical problem-solving skills.
- Graduation from an accredited Non-Destructive Testing School.
- Industrial Radiographer Certification Card and 40-Hour Radiation Safety Course completion.
- Inspection experience within refinery, manufacturing, aerospace, or heavy industrial environments.
