We are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to support and improve product quality, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will work closely with production, engineering, suppliers, and customers to ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements while driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures.
- Analyze manufacturing data to identify quality trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead investigations of nonconforming products and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable quality standards.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve process capability and reduce defects.
- Conduct root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and FMEA.
- Develop and monitor key quality metrics, including scrap, rework, yield, and customer complaints.
- Review and approve quality documentation, inspection plans, and control plans.
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve supplier performance.
- Support new product introductions and process validation activities.
- Train employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality engineering role.
- Knowledge of quality systems, statistical analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality-related software tools.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
- Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or other industry quality standards.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP, and FMEA.
