Lead the pursuit of excellence across a global supplier and external manufacturing network by driving quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role partners closely with suppliers, technical teams, and business partners to ensure robust quality systems, mitigate supply chain risks, and deliver high-performing products that meet customer and regulatory expectations. Through supplier engagement, operational leadership, data-driven decision making, and problem-solving expertise, the position plays a critical role in strengthening supplier performance, advancing process capability, and safeguarding product quality across the value chain.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead supplier and external manufacturer qualification, oversight, and performance management.
- Drive quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across the supply network.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance supplier quality systems, processes, and metrics.
- Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and technical reviews to verify capability and compliance and identify improvements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain quality risks.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement initiatives to enhance quality and reliability.
- Lead investigation and resolution of supplier nonconformance supplier-related issues.
- Partner internally and externally to lead and implement supplier related changes with minimal impact to the business
- Use data and performance metrics to support informed decision-making and operational excellence.
- Strengthen process capability, efficiency, and quality at suppliers to minimize risk and improve performance.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and quality support to internal collaborators and supplier partners in the execution of supplier quality and purchasing processes and controls
- Champion compliance with J&J quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Education:
- Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS) or equivalent degree is required.
Required:
- 4-6 years of related experience is required.
- Demonstrates a foundational understanding of medical device quality systems, with an emphasis on purchasing controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, including moderately complex functions for data analysis and trend identification.
- Professional experience in a regulated industry is required; medical device experience is preferred.
- Experience in the Medical Device industry.
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry or Chemical, Packaging, or Plastics industry.
- FDA and ISO regulations knowledge. 21 CFR 820; 21 CFR 210/211; ISO 13485; ISO 9001;
Canadian CMDCAS;
Japanese PAL;
Anvisa Australian TGA.
Other:
- Up to 30% travel may be required.
- Full-time position with standard weekday business hours.
