Research Principal Scientist

Location:
Jacksonville, FL 32218 Key Responsibilities
- Lead research for neuro-oncology, neurosurgery, neuro-endoscopy, and stereotactic medical devices.
- Develop/review study protocols, technical reports, biological safety risk assessments, and ISO 10993 documentation.
- Plan and manage preclinical in vivo studies, laboratory testing, and biocompatibility evaluations.
- Support new product development (NPD), sustaining engineering, regulatory submissions, and cross-functional projects.
- Serve as scientific SME for R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, Marketing, and external KOLs/CROs.
- Present scientific data and support biological safety strategies.
- ISO 10993 biological safety/biocompatibility expertise.
- Neuroscience, neurobiology, tissue histology, or preclinical research experience.
- Hands-on large animal in vivo studies.
- Medical device R&D, risk assessments, regulatory documentation.
- Strong project management, scientific communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
