* Kelly Science and Clinical is seeking a
** Laboratory Measurement Technician
** to join one of our global medical device clients in Jacksonville, FL, for an exciting long-term opportunity. If you enjoy pushing the boundaries of science and want your work to make a meaningful impact, this role may be a great fit.

Monday to Friday Day shift 8am to 5pm
Pay is $20 an hour and up depending on experience
** Position Summary*
* The Laboratory Measurement Technician performs specialized testing and physical measurements of contact lenses and new products in accordance with approved protocols, validated methods, laboratory procedures, and applicable GxP requirements.
** Essential Duties*
* + Perform optical, geometric, parameter, and cross-sectional lens measurements.
+ Operate laboratory instruments and measurement systems, including CLOVER, PROTEA, Optical Comparator, Panametrics, Olympus 38DL, Visionix, and cross-section microscopes.
+ Prepare samples, equipment, and materials for testing.
+ Interpret testing requirements and evaluate results according to established methods.
+ Accurately document and enter test data using Excel or similar software.
+ Support the transfer of new test methods and instrumentation to the Kelly team.
+ Follow all safety, quality, compliance, and laboratory procedures.
+ Complete required training and demonstrate proficiency before working independently.
** Required Qualifications*
* + Associate or bachelor's degree in science, engineering, technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ At least one year of experience in a laboratory, research, manufacturing, or technical environment.
+
Preferred Qualifications
+
Experience with microscopes, measurement software, and written testing protocols.
+ Experience in a regulated or quality-controlled laboratory environment.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet applications.
+ Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
+ Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately record, review, and communicate laboratory data.
+ Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to a team.
Work Environment
This position is performed in a laboratory setting and may involve standing, sitting, repetitive hand movements, close visual inspection, use of laboratory equipment, and required personal protective equipment.
