This position prepares hot and cold deli food, as well as catering and delivery orders. Promotes customer service by taking and filling customer order requests and maintaining attractive product presentation and providing exceptional customer service.

• Provide exceptional service including greeting customers and answering questions, with a positive attitude.
• Prepare hot food.
• Operate slicer, hot oven, fryer, microwave and cutting tools, scale and other deli equipment.
• Ensure food handling and food safety procedures are adhered to. Stock, rotate and monitor product temperatures before and after cooking.
• Maintain excellent standards of sanitation and freshness.
• Assist in other duties as assigned.
• Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures.
• Assist as needed to ensure the success of the store.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Deliver friendly and prompt customer service.
• Read, write and do simple math.
• Follow instructions.
• Work well with others and as a team.
• A passion for serving others.
• Food prep experience is preferred.

Deli cooks perform their duties primarily in the deli section. Work involves walking, bending, standing, lifting and carrying products up to 60lb, hand‑eye coordination, and interaction with customers and associates. Frequent exposure to hot surfaces, extreme hot or cold non weather conditions and cleaning agents. Duties also include frequent interaction with customers and fellow associates.
