As a sales associate you will be the face of our company, highlighting our brand and image while contributing to building our reputation as a company that values its customers and their opinions. You will be directly responsible for assisting customers and helping them recognize the need for our products and services. You must be capable of learning what we sell and be able to articulate our purpose in an educational, insightful and professional manner.

• Proactively engage and make a connection with customers.

• Direct customers to merchandise, informing them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, and STAR card.

• Cross‑sell products and know the store layout.
• Make suggestions to customers on the latest trends and current promotions based on their individual needs.
• Upsell products.
• Learn product features, keep up with the latest trends, and use company tools to confidently provide product knowledge.
• Process cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, debit cards, and cash handling—including counting money and returning accurate amounts.
• Complete various forms, paperwork, reports, and reconciliation.
• Track merchandise, conduct inventory processes, and ensure proper ticketing.
• Participate in periodic inventories.
• Adhere to the assigned work schedule and complete work assignments accurately and completely.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Basic product knowledge of merchandise.
• Retail experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents.
• Effective communication with customers, peers, and management.
• Proper telephone etiquette.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to multi‑task while remaining attentive to customers.
• Flexibility to meet the needs of the business.
• Team player who can take initiative independently of direct supervision.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours. It may occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The job may involve lifting from 25 to 50 pounds. Work is performed indoors but may be assigned outdoors depending on location.
