Position Summary

The Private Events Director is responsible for generating and managing private event and golf outing revenue at Deercreek Country Club. This role leads sales, marketing, and execution of weddings, social events, corporate functions, and tournaments while delivering exceptional client experiences from initial inquiry through event completion. The position works closely with the General Manager, Membership, Food & Beverage, and Marketing teams to drive revenue growth and elevate the Club’s event reputation in the Jacksonville market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive new business for weddings, social events, corporate functions, and golf outings.
  • Develop and execute quarterly sales and marketing plans to achieve event revenue goals.
  • Prospect local corporations, non-profits, associations, and community partners to build a strong pipeline of event clients.
  • Represent the Club at networking events, bridal showcases, and community organizations to generate leads and brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with Membership to identify event opportunities and enhance new Member engagement.
Client Experience & Event Execution
  • Manage the full event sales lifecycle including tours, proposals, contracts, planning, and execution.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to ensure successful events and repeat business.
  • Partner with Food & Beverage and Golf Operations to deliver exceptional, seamless events.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell food, beverage, and enhancements to maximize revenue.
  • Partner with Marketing to promote events through digital channels, social media, and campaigns.
  • Support development of promotional events such as open houses and showcase experiences.
  • Maintain strong relationships with local vendors, venues, and tourism organizations.
  • Maintain a robust prospect pipeline and track activity in CRM systems.
  • Prepare reports on sales activity, booking pace, and revenue performance.
  • Ensure contracts, event documentation, and billing coordination are accurate and timely.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of catering, hospitality, or private event sales experience required.
  • Proven success in wedding, social, corporate, and golf outing sales.
  • Strong networking, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-up and attention to detail.
  • Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office; social media familiarity preferred.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and events as needed.
