Senior Oncology Specialist

Territory covers: Jacksonville, Gainesville and Daytona, FL. Relocation is not offered for this role.

In this role you will act as the primary customer contact, providing current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products to medical professionals and effectively communicating clinical and economic benefits.

Key responsibilities include:

• Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, delivering branded sales messages, executing programs, scheduling and following‑up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
• Craft an effective marketing strategy to aid in driving sales.
• Analyze the business effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance, and develop territory plans with your District Manager.
• Maintain passion for the products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand and serving patients.
• Partner with colleagues to share best practices and pursue continuous learning.
• Leverage knowledge of oncology, industry, regulatory and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related.
• OR associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related.
• OR high school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related.

• Preferred experience in oncology.
• Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
• Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology and inflammation, or related specialties.
• Local market knowledge.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
• Adaptability with core competencies: planning and organizing; leveraging knowledge; communication; driving results; cultivating relationships.

Salary:
Expected annual range $140,465 to $190,041 in the U.S. (excl. Puerto Rico). Total Rewards Plan includes health and welfare plans, financial plans, retirement savings, bonus program, stock‑based incentives, time‑off, and flexible work models.
