Responsibilities
  • Manage the full sales process and advance profitable sales growth within assigned market area for both existing and new Airgas customers.
  • Meet and surpass organizational and regional milestones for profitable sales growth, accounts receivable management, and customer retention.
  • Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective customers, providing solutions and utilizing technology to enhance effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement sales plans using Airgas sales initiatives and guidelines to service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts.
  • Qualify and connect with sales leads, and prepare sales proposals including pricing, credit terms, and estimated delivery dates.
  • Stay current with industry insights, Airgas product mix, pricing, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Collaborate with internal resources to achieve success milestones and maintain clear communication regarding customer successes, opportunities, and new developments.
  • Maintain and submit sales reports (daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly/annual territory analyses) as requested by the District Manager through SAP.
  • Actively review and manage Accounts Receivable balances to protect Airgas working capital and reduce financial risk.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Reliable transportation, current driver’s license, and liability insurance as required by state vehicle registration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years in outside business‑to‑business sales, with experience in solution-selling and supporting customers within an assigned community.
  • Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases or a background in industrial gas/welding supply sales.
