We are seeking a Territory Manager
, Ophthalmology with an entrepreneurial spirit who excels in a dynamic, growth‑oriented environment to join our team.
- Identifies and prioritizes new client opportunities within the assigned geographic area, including hospitals, surgery centers, physician offices, and clinics.
- Manages and nurtures account relationships to drive expansion and reorders across the full Corza Ophthalmology portfolio.
- Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with physicians, nurses, materials management, and administrative personnel within accounts.
- Develops sales strategies to meet plan, grow market share, and expand business within the assigned territory.
- Maintains a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed all sales objectives.
- Acts as the main point‑of‑contact with the account, addressing customer complaints in a timely manner and proactively working to determine solutions.
- Conducts product evaluations to demonstrate the value of our products.
- Communicates information regarding marketing programs, product rebates, and discounts.
- Prepares and delivers quotes and sales proposals in a timely manner.
- Gathers information on the competitive landscape, prevailing industry trends, and business climate within the territory and shares it with the company.
- Attends and participates in team sales meetings.
- Utilizes the CRM system to increase targeting efficiencies and provide detailed information on sales calls, in‑person visits, sales opportunities, customers, and potential customers.
- Attends trade shows, conventions, and/or clinical meetings as needed.
- Keeps Sales Director informed of territory progress on a regular basis.
- Understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, and rules set forth by federal, state, and local authorities, including reporting of device complaints and accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Understand and comply with the Code of Ethics and company policies.
- Understand and comply with applicable customer policies, HIPAA, and vendor requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience, including at least 3 years of medical instrument sales, preferably ophthalmology.
- 5–75% domestic travel within the territory; some overnight travel required.
- Proficient with a CRM platform ().
- Highly organized with effective time‑management skills.
- Highly customer‑focused.
- Operating room sales/medical device experience preferred.
- Excellent selling and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of top sales performance and sales awards.
- Strong negotiating skills and capacity.
- Ability to analyze financial information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including strong listening skills.
- Working knowledge of Windows, MS Office, PowerPoint, and internet applications.
- Must live within the assigned territory.
- Must meet hospital credentialing requirements.
Corza Medical offers a competitive benefits package including medical, 401(k), vacation and sick time, paternal leave, and other benefits. Compensation is $180,000‑$200,000 base + commission, with pay based on geographic location, internal equity, market data, applicant’s job‑related skills, commensurate experience, required licensures, certifications, and certain degrees.
