Overview
Stevenson-Hendrick Honda - Jacksonville
Location:
2221 N Marine Blvd, Jacksonville, North Carolina 28546.
Summary:
Sells new or used vehicles at a profit to the dealership, while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Meet dealership sales goals.
- Greet customers and determine make, type and quality of vehicle desired.
- Explain features and demonstrate operation of vehicle in showroom or on demonstration drive.
- Suggest optional equipment for customer to purchase.
- Compute and quote sales price, including tax, trade‑in allowance and discount.
- Complete paperwork accompanying vehicle sales, including preparing sales slip or sales contract.
- Arrange for delivery and registration of vehicle.
- Research availability of models and optional equipment.
- Engage in business development.
- Address customer concerns.
- Maintain CSI at or above company standards.
- Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area.
- Participate in required training.
- Record all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
- Follow safeguards rules and regulations, demonstrate the company’s core values and comply with company policies and procedures.
- Observe all federal, state, local and company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education:
GED, High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, Master Degree or Doctorate Degree (desired). - Field of Study/
Work Experience:
Accounting, Automotive, Business, Human Resources, Information Technology. - Desired
Work Experience:
Up to 3 years; 3–5 years; 5+ years; prior sales and/or customer service experience desired. - Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Driver’s License and Automobile Salesperson License. - Computer
Skills:
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products; intermediate ability to learn web applications for customer management. - Communication
Skills:
Ability to understand and follow instructions, and to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel. - Attendance Requirements:
Regular and predictable attendance; may include evening hours, weekends and holidays. - Physical Demands:
Must talk or hear, stand, walk and sit; heavy standing work; frequent movement around the company facilities and the outdoor car lot. - Verbal and Writing Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos, and to present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations. - Math Ability:
Add, subtract, multiply and divide. - Reasoning Ability:
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with standardized situations.
