Commercial Sales Representative

Base Salary + Uncapped Commission + Car Allowance + Full Benefits

Location: sales territory throughout Florida's Treasure Coast, including Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie, Vero Beach, Indian River County, and surrounding areas

Waste Pro is looking for a Commercial Sales Representative to grow our customer base throughout the sales territory throughout Florida's Treasure Coast, including Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie, Vero Beach, Indian River County, and surrounding areas.

In this role, you'll identify new business opportunities, develop relationships with local businesses and community leaders, and help customers find waste and recycling solutions that meet their needs.

What You'll Do
  • Prospect and develop new commercial business within your assigned territory.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and in-person visits.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and activity expectations.
  • Build strong relationships with business owners, property managers, municipal contacts, and decision‑makers.
  • Prepare and present proposals, pricing, and service agreements.
  • Negotiate contracts and close new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships.
  • Partner with Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure excellent customer experiences.
  • Participate in local networking events, Chambers of Commerce, and community organizations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, forecasts, and pipeline information using company CRM tools.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven success in outside sales, business development, or territory sales.
  • Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Self‑motivated with a strong desire to achieve and exceed goals.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.
  • Experience in using CRM and sales tracking tools preferred.
  • Waste industry, environmental services, transportation, or B2B sales experience is a plus.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and sales technology platforms.
  • Ability to attend company-sponsored training and professional development programs.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    AS/BA/BS degree in business, marketing, or equivalent experience. Related work experience can be substituted for educational requirements.
  • 1-2 years of sales/marketing/business development experience within the Waste Services Industry with heavy emphasis on the Commercial Sales Sector.
  • 1+ years of progressive sales experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply consultative and solutions based selling skills.
  • Applied skills in negotiation, bid responses, contract management, forecasting and reporting.
  • Experience with sales generation, customer interaction, presentation, client interaction, negotiation, account management, forecasting, pricing, and sales closure.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills combined with above average organization, interpersonal, listening, presentation and problem solving skills.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to function with the utmost honesty and integrity.
