Outside Sales Representative (East Coast)
We are seeking an Outside Sales Representative (East Coast) to join our team and help drive our continued success. This role plays an important part in supporting our customers, strengthening our business, and contributing to the long-term growth of Douglas Dynamics.
This is a fully remote role supporting an East Coast territory. Candidates must reside in Florida or Georgia, ideally near a major airport for frequent travel. This role requires approximately 50%–75% monthly travel.
How You Will ContributeThe Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth within an assigned East Coast territory while ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic and profitability objectives. This role focuses on expanding market share with existing customers, developing new business opportunities, and building long-term, value-driven partnerships.
How You'll Make a Difference- Own and execute a territory growth plan to increase sales volume and market penetration
- Drive revenue growth while ensuring alignment with company profitability and strategic goals
- Manage pricing, deal structure, and account strategies to maintain margin expectations
- Forecast sales performance and adjust strategies to meet or exceed targets
- Build, maintain, and actively manage a strong sales pipeline to support sustained growth
- Strengthen relationships with existing customers and expand share of wallet with key accounts
- Actively prospect and develop new customers, including fleets and industry partners
- Deliver a consultative sales approach by identifying customer needs and providing tailored solutions
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers throughout the full sales cycle
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales support, engineering, marketing, and operations) to deliver solutions and ensure execution
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer engagements while providing market insights
- Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience within B2B distribution
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant industry experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage accounts and close deals
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
- Ability to travel 50%–75%
- Experience in the truck equipment industry
- Knowledge of truck-mounted service cranes or similar equipment
- Florida-based, ideally near a major airport
