Construction Sales Representative – Waste Pro – Fort Pierce, FL
Base Salary:
Up to $50,000 + Uncapped Commission Structure

What You'll Do- Develop new business within the construction and demolition (C&D) market.
- Prospect and generate new sales opportunities through networking, cold calling, referrals, and job site visits.
- Build long‑term relationships with contractors, builders, developers, municipalities, and commercial customers.
- Maintain and grow existing customer accounts.
- Prepare proposals, pricing, contracts, and bid packages.
- Negotiate contracts and close new business opportunities.
- Conduct construction site visits to understand customer needs and recommend Waste Pro solutions.
- Work closely with Operations, Customer Service, Dispatch, and Division Management to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and follow‑up.
- Track opportunities, sales activity, and forecasts using Salesforce CRM.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor pricing, and industry developments.
- Represent Waste Pro at networking events, trade associations, chambers of commerce, and community events.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1‑2 years of outside sales, business development, or B2B sales experience.
- Waste industry, construction, environmental services, or commercial services sales experience preferred.
- Strong consultative selling and relationship‑building skills.
- Experience negotiating contracts and closing new business.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.
- Experience using Salesforce CRM or similar customer‑relationship software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
- Education:
AS/BA/BS degree in business, marketing, or equivalent experience. - 1‑2 years of sales/marketing/business development experience within the Waste Services Industry or business‑to‑business/managed services sector with heavy emphasis on the Commercial Sales Sector.
- Demonstrated ability to apply consultative and solutions‑based selling skills.
- Applied skills in negotiation, bid responses, contract management, forecasting and reporting.
- Experience with sales generation, customer interaction, presentation, client interaction, negotiation, account management, forecasting, pricing, and sales closure.
- Superior written and oral communication skills combined with above average organization, interpersonal, listening, presentation and problem‑solving skills.
- Professional demeanor and ability to function with the utmost honesty and integrity.
- Basic understanding of applied use of sales automation technology used in support of the sales process.
- Proficiency in using array of software packages, including MS Outlook, Word, PPT and Excel.
- Knowledge of the Waste Industry, competitors, and relevant external forces that influence the client's buying decision.
- Well versed in problem solving, market research, financial/profitability analysis, pricing, and client relationship management.
- Organized and intellectually able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
- Prepared for travel within a defined sales area.
- High degree of autonomy, yet team oriented with ability to work cross‑functionally within dynamic environment.

- Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, driving, etc.) most of the work day.
- Properly licensed with ability to drive a motor vehicle.
