Role OverviewThe Business Development Representative supports CF Rail Services, generating leads and identifying repair opportunities to drive business growth. The role involves market analysis, sales outreach, relationship building, and reporting to support sales strategy.
Responsibilities- Research and conduct sales calls with prospective customers to drive leads to the Vice President of Sales.
- Drive volume through full‑service shops via cold calling and customer visits.
- Establish new mobile repair locations through prospecting and securing firm customer commitments.
- Build and maintain new customer relationships to support long‑term goals.
- Expand existing mobile repair customer base and geographic presence.
- Maintain and update customer interactions in a CRM database.
- Conduct market research and analysis to improve company functions.
- Represent the company at industry events.
- Develop written summaries, presentations, and reports on analysis conclusions.
- Perform other duties as assigned to achieve departmental and company objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of sales experience; rail industry experience preferred.
- Experience working with a CRM database.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
- Experience with databases and business technology systems.
- Professional, reliable, and dependable.
Travel approximately 50–70% to corporate office in Oak Brook, IL; shop locations in Meridian, MS and East Chicago, IN; MRU locations and various customer sites.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $60,000 – $70,000 USD per year. Exempt position with potential annual incentive bonus and benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, disability and life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation, holidays, parental leave, employee assistance program, training and tuition reimbursement, and community service opportunities.
