Area Business Manager - Allergy/ENT (Remote - US)
Sanofi focuses on developing specialty treatments for debilitating diseases. The Area Business Manager (ABM) is responsible for engaging allergists and otolaryngologists, presenting clinically focused selling messages to grow revenue and meet product goals for atopic dermatitis and asthma indications.
Main Responsibilities- Engage allergy/immunology and otolaryngology customers within the assigned geographical territory and deliver clinically focused messages to introduce, launch, grow brand-share and revenue and consistently deliver on product goals.
- Collaborate and coordinate with other key field-based stakeholders (Regeneron Sales Professional counterparts, Medical Science Liaisons, Field Reimbursement and Market Access teammates, Thought Leader Liaisons, and others) to address customer needs, identify market dynamics and trends, develop strategies supporting brand and corporate objectives, and ensure optimal account success.
- Develop strong working relationships with allergy experts, biological coordinators, office staff and other healthcare personnel and key patient advocacy support groups.
- Drive results by identifying key opportunities, developing strategic business plans to generate product utilization and grow territory business.
- Plan, organize, and execute local promotional speaker programs and activities.
- Maximize budget to support strategies and tactics and generate or grow the business.
- Participate in industry congresses, local and regional meetings and medical conferences.
- Own business opportunities within the geographic area, including coordination and calling upon large group practices and key targets to drive overall product results.
- Establish relationships with thought leaders in the territory.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university.
- 3+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience, or relevant professional business or healthcare‑related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product‑related information.
- Ability to travel to meetings, trainings, and programs as necessary; additional travel may be required within the territory.
- Proven success and positive track record of consistent sales performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments, operating with a high degree of integrity within compliance guidelines.
- Ability to operate as a team player with collaboration partners and internal colleagues to reach common goals.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- 2+ years selling subcutaneous or office-administered IV biologics in a complex and competitive market.
- 2+ years selling experience in asthma, nasal polyps, or other immunology disorders such as psoriasis, multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, or ulcerative colitis.
- 2+ years selling experience calling on allergists or otolaryngologists (ENTs).
- Launch experience in specialty care and biologics.
- Alliance/matrix partnership experience.
- Advanced clinically based selling skills and results orientation with proven track record in product launches.
- Experience with in‑servicing and training office staff, nurses, and office managers.
- Passion for science and proactive learning of disease state, treatment options, and healthcare trends.
- Highly organized with strong account management skills.
