Job Overview
As a Territory Account Manager on Johnson & Johnson’s Med Tech Vision team, you will represent the company in the Fort Wayne and South Bend, IN territories, selling ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses to primary care physicians and other eye care professionals.
Responsibilities- Develop new business and maintain relationships with established customers to secure sales of ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses.
- Leverage product knowledge and marketing initiatives to close sales and provide value‑added dialogue with customers.
- Identify and understand each customer’s strategic priorities, buying motives, end‑user needs, office processes, and business operations.
- Attend sales training, study marketing manuals, and shadow experienced representatives to build competency in product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the organization’s products and services, articulate benefits, manage inventory and lens control, and track supply and price trends.
- Provide scientific and economic product differentiation that is compliant and aligned with sales strategy.
- Position products and economic solutions as the optimal choice for each customer and patient, delivering a tailored clinical and financial message.
- Utilize available resources and tools to deliver a concise sales message and complete pre‑call plans for all accounts, consistently influencing customer behavior.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- At least 2 years of business‑to‑business and/or medical sales experience, or an equivalent combination of sales and industry experience.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed, including overnight and weekend travel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, competitive selling technique, business acumen, organizational abilities, and complexity management.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; knowledge of sales applications and principles.
- Residence in or near the specified geographic region.
- Physical ability to lift up to thirty (30) lbs., sit for up to two (2) hours, climb stairs, walk quickly between interactions, and travel independently by car or airplane.
- Combination of business‑to‑business and medical sales experience.
- Documented sales awards and achievements.
- Prior management development training or completion of major sales training courses.
