Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS)
The Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) is responsible for promoting Pfizer's product portfolio to health care providers and specialists; educating members of the healthcare community on the appropriate use of Pfizer products; calling on accounts and organized customers to improve patients' experience with Pfizer products and overall quality of patient care; and increasing Pfizer's brand with high-value target customers by linking an insightful assessment of the account/business landscape with a strong understanding of Pfizer's products and resources.
BasicQualifications
- BA/BS from an accredited institution OR associate's degree with 8+ years of experience OR high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
- Valid US driver's license and compliant driving record; any DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation within the past 7 years disqualifies.
- Minimum 4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience OR minimum 4 years of oncology HCP experience working with key oncology thought leaders/influential customers in hospitals, large group practices, or managed care.
- Demonstrated track record of success with pharmaceutical sales or HCP experience.
- Ability to learn and communicate technical/scientific product and disease management information.
- Demonstrated business acumen.
- Proficiency using complex digital applications and ability to adapt to Pfizer's long-range technology model.
- 3-5 years of oncology sales; experience in Lung Cancer therapeutic area.
- Master's degree; advanced HCP degree.
- Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and Key Opinion Leaders.
- Promote broad product portfolio; knowledge of disease states/therapeutic areas/products.
- Generate demand in assigned accounts; strategic account planning/management.
- Maintain and build relationships across institutions and with KOLs; overcome barriers to access HCPs.
- Assess needs of physicians/accounts and address with responsive approach and appropriate resources.
- Engage and influence through the selling process; excellent communication/interpersonal/leadership skills.
- Quickly learn and adapt; work effectively in a matrix environment and leverage multiple resources.
- Overtime eligibility during initial new hire sales training; overtime-exempt after training certification.
- Additional sales incentive bonus.
