** for a long-term role at one of our Global medical device clients in Jacksonville, FL.

* Summary:

*
* The Analytical Chemist performs advanced analytical testing and supports the development of contact lens, consumer eye health, and intraocular lens products. This hands-on laboratory role involves chromatographic and spectroscopic analysis, data management, method development, and ensuring compliance with quality standards in a regulated environment.

* Key Responsibilities:

*
* + Conduct chromatographic and spectroscopic analyses (e.g., HPLC, GC, Mass Spectrometry, FTIR) on samples in compliance with validated/qualified methods and regulatory guidelines.

+ Accurately document sample submissions, test methods, and results in both laboratory notebooks and the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

+ Prepare deviation and investigation reports as required; participate in laboratory investigations and troubleshooting.

+ Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, monitor inventory of supplies, and coordinate storage of analytical records.

+ Assist in the development, validation, and improvement of analytical methods and protocols.

+ Participate in method development for new materials and products, as well as routine and non-standard testing (e.g., appearance, materials identification, preservative, lipid, and protein analysis).

+ Support quality/compliance initiatives, including measurement system analysis and system improvements.

+ Ensure all work is performed and recorded according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), standard operating procedures, and safety regulations.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project objectives and communicate findings as appropriate.

** Qualifications** :

+ Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.

+ Open to recent BS Chemistry grad with intern experience.

+ Ideally 1-7 years of experience in industry.

+ Demonstrated experience with chromatographic techniques; prior work in regulated medical device or pharmaceutical labs is advantageous.

+ Strong understanding of analytical chemistry principles, data reporting, and laboratory operations.

+ Proficiency with LIMS, statistical analysis, and experimental design is preferred.

+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
