Medical Science Liaison – Oncology (FL/PR Territory)

This field‑based position is for the Oncology Therapeutic Area Medical Science Liaison (MSL) group within the Scientific Affairs organization. The MSL engages with oncology healthcare decision‑makers to communicate and advance Amgen’s scientific platform, ensuring accurate, clear, and valuable information reaches all levels of the medical community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate complex, cutting‑edge scientific information and research concepts to healthcare decision‑makers, including those at academic medical centers.
  • Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision‑makers.
  • Identify, train, and update members of Amgen’s speakers’ bureau with new data.
  • Respond to investigator‑sponsored research proposal requests and support Amgen‑sponsored research.
  • Provide field‑based insights to Amgen partners and other matrix colleagues, ensuring compliance with MSL standards.
  • Build and sustain scientific relationships with healthcare thought leaders and fellows in training.
  • Lead or participate in committees and project teams supporting MSL strategies and tactics as directed by MSL leadership.
Basic Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pharm.

    D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or other doctoral degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in a medically related field, including at least 1 year focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
  • Experience in a post‑doctoral training program (residency/fellowship).
  • Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biopharmaceutical company.
  • Oncology therapeutic area expertise.
