You will be responsible for periodic maintenance, installation, and updates of medical devices, including laboratory diagnostic units in hospitals across the United States, while delivering exceptional customer service. This is a 100% travel position. Local, regional, and national travel is required.
Job Responsibilities- Provide ongoing communication and customer support to on‑site hospital staff.
- Organize, test, and update medical devices; install and configure hardware, software, and network products.
- Conduct routine checks and record data from product tests after installation and configuration.
- Document and submit daily data while maintaining high standards of product support quality documentation.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational classes as required and reviewing technical bulletins.
- Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Maintain credentials required by the client’s customers through credentialing services such as GHX (Vendormate) or Reptrax.
- Assignment‑based schedule with a 30–40 hour commitment per week and overtime as needed. The role guarantees a minimum of 24 hours per week but may require up to 40 hours.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technical School in biomedical engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3–5+ years’ experience in repairing, maintaining, and installing medical diagnostic equipment used in a laboratory setting.
- Biomedical, hardware, electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic repair and troubleshooting experience.
- Professional business acumen and effective communication skills.
- Self‑motivated individual who can work independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to respond to clients by traveling when needed to address repairs or maintenance.
- Strong time‑management and organizational skills to ensure on‑time completion of project assignments.
- Active and unrestricted driver’s license and a personal vehicle for local assignments.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements.
- Position may require up to‑date immunizations.
- Full‑time commitment with travel flexibility.
- Assignment‑based schedule with up to 40+ hours per week. Travel nationally to support customer needs.
- Valid driver’s license required; driving is a business requirement and subject to a review of the driving record prior to hire.
- Personal vehicle required for job‑related assignments up to 3 hours from home.
- Location within 1 hour of a major airport.
- Travel time is paid.
- Background in biomedical, networking, military, or field‑based technician roles.
- Experience working in a technical role within a healthcare environment.
- Strong computer skills and comfort troubleshooting with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and One Note.
- This position is not eligible for medical benefits.
Individuals must complete the healthcare facility credentialing process, which includes the following immunizations:
Measles, Mumps & Rubella;
Varicella (chickenpox);
Tuberculosis (TB) test;
Tetanus, Diphtheria & Pertussis (Tdap);
Hepatitis B;
Influenza (seasonal); and COVID‑19 primary series (boosters may be required). The company complies with all applicable laws regarding reasonable accommodations or exemptions for religious, medical, or other legally protected reasons, though client requirements may supersede.

SalaryThe potential base pay range for this role is $35–$38 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary based on factors such as qualifications, location, and schedule. Incentive plans, bonuses, and other compensation may be offered in addition to the wage.
