Kelly Science and Clinical is looking for a passionate and driven Scientist to join one of our Global Medical Device clients in Jacksonville, FL for an exciting long-term opportunity. Pay Rate: $24.00 – $28.00/hr and up, based on experience

Shift: Monday – Friday | Day Shift

Duration:
One year with strong potential to extend

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Step into a dynamic lab environment where no two days are the same. You’ll be at the forefront of advanced materials characterization, working with cutting-edge instrumentation and techniques including:
  • FTIR spectroscopy, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), and Dynamic Vapor Sorption (DVS)
  • Refractive index measurement, oxygen permeability testing, and optical density analysis
  • Contact-angle determination, surface roughness evaluation, and gravimetric water content assessment
  • Routine solution testing – pH, conductivity, and osmolality – using USP and validated methods
  • Beyond testing, you’ll help develop and implement new test methods, support method validation, and contribute to analytical work spanning stability, pre-clinical, clinical, and regulatory studies.
You’ll Also Play a Key Role In:
  • Supporting competitor product analysis and building out a master database
  • Contributing to new instrumentation qualification
  • Assisting with equipment calibration management and system updates
  • Participating in guided analytical method development aligned with team priorities
What You Bring
  • BS in Chemistry, Forensics Science or a related field
  • 1+ year of industry lab experience
  • Solid understanding of data integrity, quality, and management principles
  • Experience working in a GxP/R&D environment
  • Sharp analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
