As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol in Jacksonville, FL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. This part‑time role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to deter incidents, and support site staff with clear communication and customer service.

Job Schedule:
Saturday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM;
Sunday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site‑specific security procedures, access guidelines, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including medical events, fire alarms, equipment or utility disruptions, and reports of suspicious activity.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including production spaces, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting hazards and irregular conditions.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems as assigned, and take appropriate action based on post orders and escalation procedures.
- Control access at gates, lobbies, and/or designated entry points by verifying identification and authorizations, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing visitors to check‑in locations.
- Perform vehicle and truck screening as assigned, including verifying deliveries and pickups against shipping and receiving documentation and directing traffic flow to designated areas.
- Complete security‑related reports such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation with accurate and timely details.
- Communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and local responders as needed, using radios, phones, and written communications to coordinate responses.
- Support loss prevention and asset protection activities by observing unusual behavior and policy violations and reporting concerns through the appropriate channels.
- Follow established key control and access control procedures as assigned, including documenting key issuance and returns and reporting discrepancies.
- Maintain a professional presence and provide directions and assistance to employees, contractors, and drivers while enforcing site policies in a respectful manner.
- Participate in required trainings, drills, and briefings, and follow Allied Universal and site‑specific post orders and procedures.
- 1+ years of security experience.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
