Basic PurposeThe PRN Safety Personnel supports the mission of Aspire Church by promoting a safe, welcoming, and well‑prepared environment for all members, guests, facility users, and volunteers using Aspire Church facilities. This role provides on‑site safety awareness and facility readiness during events and activities, including times when no other staff members are present.

- Serve as the on‑site safety point of contact during assigned shifts, including times when no other staff members are present.

- Maintain a Safe, Prepared, and Welcoming Environment
- Prepare assigned areas of the facility prior to events by opening approved spaces, turning on lights, and confirming readiness for use.
- Maintain a visible and approachable presence in assigned areas throughout the duration of the shift.
- Monitor facility conditions to identify potential safety concerns such as hazards, unsecured doors, overcrowding, or environmental issues.
- Address minor safety or facility issues when possible or report them promptly when they require follow‑up.
- Ensure the facility remains orderly, clean, and welcoming in high‑traffic areas.
- Serve as the On‑Site Safety Point of Contact
- Monitor building access to ensure spaces are being used as approved and that unauthorized access is addressed appropriately.
- Provide assistance and direction to members, guests, renters, and volunteers as needed.
- When no supervisor is on site, exercise sound judgment to address immediate safety or facility concerns within Aspire Church procedures.
- Secure the facility at the conclusion of events according to established closing procedures.
- Respond to and Escalate Safety‑Related Concerns
- Respond calmly and appropriately to safety‑related concerns, incidents, or behavioral issues that arise during a shift.
- Escalate incidents involving injury, conflict, property damage, or policy violations according to Aspire Church procedures.
- Contact emergency services when required and notify church leadership as soon as practical following any serious incident.
- Document and report all safety or facility concerns to the Facility Director following the completion of the shift.
- Support Facility Director with setup or clean up for events as needed.
- Assist members of the Ministry Support team if asked.
- PRN Safety Personnel operate in a supportive, execution‑focused role and do not create or modify safety policies, training standards, or procedures.
- When serving as the only staff member on site, this role is authorized to make immediate, reasonable decisions necessary to protect people and property, while following Aspire Church procedures and escalation protocols.
- All significant actions, incidents, or concerns must be documented and communicated to the Facility Director.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Training in emergency response, situational awareness, and conflict de‑escalation as directed by Aspire Church policy.
- Knowledge of risk management, first aid, and emergency response procedures.
- Compliance with Aspire Church policies and applicable laws regarding safety practices.
- Arrives prepared and on time for scheduled services and events.
