Job DescriptionAs a Security Guard - Flex Armed Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. - Provide customer service to clients at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Carry and maintain issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, training standards and Allied Universal post orders.
- Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, operational areas and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
- Complete reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate status updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
- Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.
- Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
