As a Security Officer – Armed Area Patrol in Miami, FL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to deter security‑related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while providing strong customer service. • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, including medical calls, disturbances, alarms, and/or suspicious activity; request assistance from law enforcement and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Control access at entrances and restricted areas by verifying identification, screening visitors, and monitoring entrances to maintain order and proper authorization.
• Document patrols, incidents, and policy violations in written reports and logs, and communicate updates to supervisors and oncoming personnel while following required weapons handling and reporting procedures.

• At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Armed guard card and/or license.
• College degree.
• Proof of high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
• At least 21 years of age.
• DD214 with honorable discharge OR associate’s degree OR 60 college credits OR police academy certificate OR corrections academy certificate.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screening as required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver's license required only for driving positions.
