Job Summary

The First Coast Security (FCS) Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC), located within Jacksonville, FL, is the centralized hub for supporting physical security operations, customer service delivery, and real‑time threat response across client sites.

We are seeking a PSOC Operator who is reliable, detail‑oriented, and mission‑driven to help protect people, assets, and brand reputation. This is a role designed for individuals with a background in physical security and customer service who are eager to grow within the security technology field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor video surveillance, access control, perimeter and alarm systems across multiple client locations.
  • Triage security alerts and incidents in accordance with established protocols and SOPs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
  • Support incident response operations including documentation, escalation, and communication with on‑site personnel and emergency responders.
  • Conduct video reviews and assist with investigations as directed by PSOC leadership.
  • Maintain situational awareness of global and local events that could impact client operations.
  • Document all shift activity in daily logs and incident reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Partner with the PSOC team to ensure consistent delivery of operational excellence during all shifts.
  • Participate in cross‑training for other PSOC functions and systems to support career growth.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Familiarity with video surveillance and access control platforms.
  • Experience working in a physical security, military, law enforcement, or operations center environment.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience, preferably in a fast‑paced or high‑stress setting.
  • Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • State of Florida Class D Security Licensed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology, Homeland Security, Emergency Management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), GSOC, call center, or emergency dispatch environment.
  • Familiarity with mass notification tools, threat intelligence platforms, and incident management systems.
  • Certifications such as the Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), Associate Protection Professional (APP), Axis Certified Professional (ACP), or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
  • Experience using platforms such as Your6, Axis Communications, Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, Everbridge, or Ontic.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make clear decisions during high‑stress situations.
  • FAA Part 107 Licensed and prior drone operations & management experience.
  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
