Overview
Baptist Health is looking to add a Security Officer to the Protective Services Department at the Baptist Silverleaf location. This is a full-time, night shift opportunity working from 6:00 PM to 6:15 AM. The Security Officer’s primary function is to assure the day-to-day safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees by patrolling and monitoring the medical center properties. The team is implementing new technologies such as metal detectors to enhance patient safety and experience.
Responsibilities- Reporting any unusual circumstances, and taking appropriate corrective actions
- Ensuring the protection of individuals from harm by monitoring for safety hazards
- Providing escort services
- Responding to unsafe situations
- Enforcing hospital parking regulations
- Assisting individuals with obtaining help for vehicle problems
- 1-2 years Law Enforcement Experience (Preferred)
- 1-2 years Security Officer Experience (Preferred)
- 1-2 years Military Experience (Preferred)
- High School Diploma Required
- Associate or Science Degree Preferred
