Position: SUPERVISORY POLICE OFFICER with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will assist in directing and providing technical, operational and administrative supervision as well as making major decision and taking actions that have a direct and substantial effect on PMO or MCPD communities.
* You will assist in planning, managing, directing and evaluating law enforcement and security operations; initiate, establish and plan mission priorities.
* You will plan and implement current and long-range operations based on workload trends and projected requirements; develop and implement Force Protection Condition (FPCON) plans, procedures, processes and measures.
* You will direct the day-to-day technical and administrative work of a group of police officers and support staff (e.g., military, civilian).
* You will assist in the managing of required training, sustainment training and training on new policies and laws; perform periodic and special statistical, financial and productivity analysis and evaluations on short and long range requirements.
* You will direct personnel during a catastrophic event following Federal emergency response plans to control the situation.
* You will respond to problems or questions involving the implementation of law enforcement and security guidelines. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Must be a US Citizen; pass a National Agency Check and local background check. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.

* Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
* The DON does not employ individuals for Law Enforcement Officer positions who have been convicted of a crime of domestic violence on or after 27 November 2002. You must submit DD Form 2760, Qualification to Possess Firearms before appointment.
* You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
* Must possess and maintain a valid driver license and be able to maintain a U.S. Government emergency vehicle operator's license. Must be able to read, write and speak English.

* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
* This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
* This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
* This is a Department of Navy Drug Testing Designated Position (TDP). Required to undergo pre-employment urinalysis requirements and sustainment drug testing.
* Must meet medical standards for police officers in the DoD 6055.05M and NMCPHC-TM-OM 6260. Required to wear a uniform and maintain appearance and grooming standards per Marine Corps Orders/policies.
