Armed Security Officer, Nights, Baptist South

Eligible for Up to $1500 Sign‑on Bonus, if hired externally.

Baptist Health is looking to add an Armed Security Officer to our Protective Services Department at our Baptist South location. This is a Full‑Time Nights position working 12‑hour shifts, 6pm-6:15am, with rotating weekends and holidays.

The Security Officer's primary function is to assure the day‑to‑day safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees by patrolling and monitoring the medical center properties. As patient safety and experience are top priority this growing team is currently implementing new technologies such as metal detectors.

• High School Diploma (Required)
• Associate or Science Degree (Preferred)
• Licensed Security Officer – Class G (Required)
• Licensed Security Officer – Class D (Required)
• International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) Advanced (Preferred)
• IAHSS Safety (Preferred)
• IAHSS Basic (Preferred)

• Law Enforcement Experience

• Licensed Security Officer – Class G – DACS
• Driver’s License – DMV
• Licensed Security Officer – Class D – DACS
