Security Officer

• Provide a strong, professional visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, and trespass
• Monitor access points to ensure only authorized individuals enter the property
• Conduct regular foot patrols and report safety hazards or suspicious activity
• Engage courteously with residents, shoppers, and congregation members, offering assistance as needed
• Respond calmly to incidents, complete detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs), and escalates to law enforcement when necessary
• Use de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe, orderly environment

• Valid Ohio Security Officer License (or willingness/ability to obtain one)
• Valid Driver’s License
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous security or customer-service experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Reliable, professional appearance and attitude

• Assignments vary by client site (shopping centers, apartment complexes, churches)
