Eagle Globe Protective Services (EGPS) is hiring fullstanden Guardian Certified Safe School Officers for school campuses throughout Miami-Dade, Duval/Jacksonville, Pasco, and Orange counties.

Safe School Officers provide a visible, disciplined security presence and help protect students, staff, visitors, and school property. Officers must demonstrate sound judgment, strong situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to respond appropriately during emergencies.

Final campus assignments will be based on staffing needs, the applicant’s location, qualifications, certifications, and availability.

• Starting pay:$24 per hour
• 90-day probationary period
• Pay increases to$26 per hour after successful completion of probation
• Final compensation may vary depending on experience, certifications, qualifications, and assignment

• Maintain a visible armed security presence on the assigned campus
• Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and school grounds
• Conduct daily exterior security checks and safety assessments
• Identify and report suspicious behavior, safety hazards, and security concerns
• Respond promptly to threats, emergencies, disturbances, and other incidents
• Assist school administrators with emergency procedures and campus safety operations
• Coordinate with school administration, local law enforcement, first responders, and EGPS leadership
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and risk assessments
• Follow all school policies, post orders, EGPS procedures, and applicable state and federal laws
• Maintain professional conduct, appearance, attendance, and punctuality

Applicants must:

• Hold an active Florida Class D Security Officer License
• Hold an active Florida Class G Statewide Firearm License
• Possess a valid Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License
• Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Pass all required background checks, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
• Complete or currently hold all required Guardian/Safe School Officer certifications and training
• Be legally eligible to possess and carry a firearm
• Meet all applicable firearm, licensing, and age requirements
• Be willing and able to work at an assigned school campus

Applicants must possess and maintain their own required duty equipment in serviceable condition. Required equipment includes, but is not limited to:

• Approved personal duty firearm:
  Glock 17, Glock 19, or Glock 45
• Minimum of three magazines
• Approved duty ammunition
• Duty belt and required accessories
• Tourniquet, when trained and authorized to carry one
• Approved black ballistic or tactical vest with required EGPS identification
• Black duty boots or shoes
• Any additional equipment required by EGPS, the assigned school, or applicable law

All firearms and duty equipment are subject to inspection and approval by EGPS. Officers are responsible for maintaining their equipment and ensuring that all licenses, certifications, and qualifications remain current.

Applicants who are not currently Guardian Certified may be considered for placement in an approved Guardian Academy.

Candidates who apply for or attend a Guardian Academy through EGPS must agree to
